The CD release party for Little Niche was held on June 2nd at The Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley Mass.  It was a dream night for me.  All the musicians who contributed their talents to this recording showcased their own material in two song sets to begin the evening.  It was a very rare chance for me to show my audience how fortunate I have been to have had the continued support and friendship of some of the most extraordinary people in the business.  I stood in the back of the room and watched as some of my dearest friends gave my audience a taste of their own work.  It was magical. 

This evening also featured my son Lawren sitting in on guitar with an impromptu version of The Amazing Mudshark band and his debut as a solo performer.  He did a fabulous job.  It was probably good that he couldn’t see his mother having a nervous breakdown while watching him up there all by himself.

The show was a once-in-a-lifetime chance for me to work in different incarnations with my friends.  It began with a duet with Maria Sangiolo.  Then a band that featured Maria and I on vocals, Seth Connelly on acoustic Guitar, Jack Cavalier on Bass and, all the way from Georgia, Anna Huthmaker on cello.  Those of you who are familiar with the song “Marlene” will appreciate what an honor it was for all of us to perform this song with members of Marlene’s family in attendance.  The evening finished with an over-the-top half-hour set with The Loomers.  We are all so busy.  It is so difficult to get everyone together.  This was a night I will never forget.
